Hello Revit users, thank you for stopping by,

Elevation ref lable takes the ground floor of the upper floor as hes reference .

How to let him take the ceilingas a refrence so I know that my pipes are lets sey ( - 120 cm from the ceiling)

I'v noticed that I can't even modify the family which has the "EL" shortcut .

Thanks in advance

Hi,

I think that you have to create a new level at the ceiling to use it at a reference in the pipe property.

The EL shorcut use the survey point or the project base point as reference.

For this case, you can use a pipe (or duct) elevation tag to show the offset from your created level.

At least cant I find any type of a Tagging annotation that shows or tells that the pipe is in which level ?

I searched in the tagging family parameter and nothing there about the floor level name or such.

Hi,

Unfortunately, I think this can't be done using revit default tags parameters.

- You can use a text and input it manually. (easy one) ^^

- Or You can create a shared parameter for the pipes. After you can retrieve this parameter in your tag but you still input the level manually in the pipe properties. Make sure that the property is an instance property, if not all your tag pipe will show the same level.

I hope this trick can help you.

The problem is , that the Tag takes the right reference level, an other time takes the wrong level as his reference "for instance here the upper level"
