Pipes disconnect when system revised

So I have been tasked creating a piping system. I have never used MEP tools in Revit before.
The problem I am having is I have a vertical pipe which I have pinned in a certain location. it then connects to a horizontal pipe a distance away with a perpendicular horizontal pipe (can be at angle) creating a tee.

My question is, if for some reason either the vertical or the horizontal (not the perpendicular horizontal pipe) moves it disconnects the perpendicular pipe at one of the ends . If I try unpin the vertical pipe it moves the vertical pipe to. How can I keep the vertical pipe in place while moving the Tee piece to another location. or vice versa keep tee in place and move the vertical, all the while keeping the perpendicular pipe automatically connected at both ends

My current work around is to manually reconnect the pipe to resolve. This is OK for a one off case but if you have to reconnect a lot of pipes the are affected by a change, or if there are multiple pipe moves in a project life cycle it can be a time consuming tedious exercise. Surely there must by a way to keep the end locked to the fittings when the system has been revised for whatever reason

and related but if the horizontal (not the perpendicular) is rotated/sloped.

Drawing sewer systems in Revit is a nightmare. Acctualy the workaround you desccribed is best for me too. In most cases you need to redraw part of system instead of moving and editing existing one. It is caused by slopes on pipes.

My advice for you while drawing huge sewer system is to use as many DL (ancillary drawlines) to aim the pipe axis, and use TR (trim) to connect them on 45° elbow. This is most effective way i know so far.

This is why I rarely Pin.

Your pinned vertical pipes will disconnect if their Endpoint changes. On a sloped system, this will always happen if you move any part of the system in any direction, because you are changing the system length.

If you Unpin the vertical pipe with the perpendicular connection, it won't disconnect, and it will only move in the z-axis, not the x or y.

With your angled connection, the vertical pipe will always have to move in the x/y, unless you change your angle. That's just geometry. In this case you can either redraw the whole leg, or else delete the 90-degree elbow and re-align the horizontal pipe with the vertical one (Design Lines are useful for this).

Finally, I totally disagree that sloped systems are 'a nightmare' - they simply require a bit more care and attention with your workflow.
