I have been using it since my company wants to move the our design from 2D to 3D. This project in particular has been designed by an external source to the company (by using our 2D design drawings) and ever since we have been kept working on the project and making changes to the design for coordination purposes. However, I'm having issues link an other MEP file to this one. I have designed the drainage system in a different model -personally this is what I would do, having all HVAC, plumbing etc. in separate models and then link them together - however this model presents all the disciplines in ones which includes HVAC, Heating, Plumbing and Lighting. There are some missing - like drainage - but even if the file results linked to the MEP it's a not show. The Drainage I have linked doesn't show either in 3D view and floor plan view. The one you see are the other disciplines, but drainage is now show. I hope you can help me.

Hello,

I understand you are linking one MEP file to which all other MEP disciplines are connected.

If correct, go to Manage Links in the MEP main file and change the desired link from Overlay to Attachment.

We used to have separate mechanical, electrical, structural and architectural files all linked to one another and sometimes we would break it down even further maybe having multiple mechanical files etc. and it worked fine.

Have you checked all possible reasons why you might not be able to see the drainage?

Have you checked that the models are aligned with one another (usually using a shared coordinate system) and that levels are also aligned?

If possible I would suggest that you upload your file(s) for examination.
