Hello everyone, can you please help to remove the gap in the existing duct after the installation of a new balancing damper? I am doing a renovation project and there is existing ductwork. When I installed new balancing dampers and printed drawings for the phase filter (Show Previous + Demo) there were gaps for new balancing dampers.

If this is demolition in "new phase", this may be an issue with visibility since the new dampers are NEW

check phase filter of the view.

Just guessing since your view is called demolition. Demolition normally wouldn't show the new items.

if you want to show demo, you also should verify how you show items to be demo'd. if you insert a damper, you technically demo that little piece of duct that gets cut out.

I am not showing demolished elements for new construction drawings (only existing and new).

Please see the settings for Phase Filters in the attached picture.

I understand that the new damper is removing the existing peace of duct.

But maybe there is a way how to show existing ductwork without these gaps?

Probably the solution is to show the removed by the new balancing damper piece of ductwork as a demolished duct. But I don't understand how to do it automatically.

It depends on what you want to show on a specific view.

what I do is:

- demo view: shows existing - demo and demo is dashed/colored or some other scheme. Doe snot show NEW items

- construction: shows existing and NEW

it looks like you set it up as a demo view, but want to show new items.

For new construction drawings, there is no issue. There are existing and new ducts and elements. For demolition drawings, I am showing existing and demolished ducts and elements and everything looks good, except these disappeared pieces of duct where new balancing dampers are installed (which should be shown as demolished duct automatically).
