The Fabrication database that you can access in Revit is directly tied to the databases you have set up in Fabrication MEP of the same year/version of Revit you are using. For example, if using Revit 2026, you need to add the database configuration to Fabrication 2026.

After you open up fabrication and add the database, or if you already see it there, then just go back to Revit, go to Sytems>Fabrication Part (or click the little arrow in the bottom corner). This will bring up Fabrication settings where you can select the database (configurations) you want to use and then you can load services.

There are other more complicated ways to do this without having the same year of Fabrication as the year of Revit you are using, but this is the most straightforward.

Hi. I've just installed REVIT 2026 and I was trying to do a design with piping and ducts, but I realized that the MEP fabrication pieces were not there. Previously, I had the 2024 version and I just had to download the extension and update, and it worked. But now I downloaded the MEP fabrication extension and the US content library, installed them and reset the software, but they didn't load.

Is there another update I need?

i don't use fabrication. But the "regular" oob families are easier available from the cloud function:

This "disappearing" of the installed oob content is a common problem and I gave up reloading them. Cloud version also has nicer UI.
