Wasnt sure if it was an issue or if there was setting to adjust. feel free to try with this model. i was able to manually override by element and once i sync wiht my add-on it reverted back to the way it looks in the image. trying to adjust the settings in my project before i reach out to the add-on provider.

I am trying to lower the line weight on my assemblies in my project. the categories inside the assembly are fine when i edit the assembly but once i am not editing the assembly, the line weights are very large again. where can i control the thickness of the assemblies as it it not a category. The only way i have been able to achieve the override was a manual override by element which is not what i want to do. please advise.

basically those two blobs are my assemblies and the equipment behind it is the same family category but not an assembly and the item behind is displaying correctly. I have a few add-ons that are creating view and element filters so sending the model isnt ideal right now.

A quick look reveals that the eE_Snap Face category is the culprit but I can't seem to find a way to change the lineweight. Object styles and V/G overrides aren't working.

I have to go for now. Please post back if you find a solution.

My solution was to edit the line weight in the Model Line Weight for 1/8" Scale. I lowered the thickness and it worked for my 3d views without effecting anything else in the model.

Yeah, that's what I thought you meant. It's a backwards way of approaching it and hardly a good practice. You should find out how to change the eE_Snap Face category to use your #2 instead of #10.

Your fix will only work for 1/8th scale views. As soon as you change the scale, the issue will return.

Unfortunately that is the only solution that will achieve what i need. I edited all the eSnap face categories on the entire project. The main issue that everything shows correctly until it is in an assembly. Once an assembly is created it changes how it looks. i will reach out to the third party add-on to see what they are using to modify items.

Thank you
