Hi Revit MEP Community,

I currently have a number of projects where we have asked the Electrical Drafter to model all power outlets in the correct location on the wall (LOD400) for consultant review and approval. They have indicated if they model in the correct locations, there are instances where there are approx. 6-8 power outlets (some at low level and some at high level) all located side by side on a wall, and when converting the model into a 2D power layout plan, the symbols overlap creating confusion with quantity and heights for site installation. They mentioned unless manual adjustments are done to the 2D sheet, which generates the risk that the information doesn't auto update, they are looking to place the power outlets floating in the room so it displays best in their 2D sheet view.

Can someone please advise how they have overcome this issue as we would like all power outlets modelled in their final locations so we can complete visual and clash automation reviews to ensure we're not clashing with glass, steel, etc.

Thanks

You can apply offset values to the 2D symbols by modifying the families.

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-mep-forum/mep-2d-symbol-offset-horizontal-and-vertical-solution/m-p/9281857

https://www.andekan.com/blog/offset-parameter-for-overlapping-plan-symbols/
