Make Tag Background Opaque

I know this has been discussed but I don't think this particular situation has been addressed:

I have a tag with linework separating the various labels and I want this tag to have an opaque background.

Tried filled regions because some project views that need this tag are in wireframe. Perfect except the region blocks out all the interstitial linework inside the tag.

Create separate masking or filled regions in the family instead on one big one.

….and I think you’ll need to adjust region sizes to account for line widths as well otherwise the regions will hide part of the line thickness (similar to wipeouts in Autocad).

No. A region doesn't mask the its own boundary lines.

But it would mask the lines in the family?

Unless the OP just relies on the region border to outline the various fields rather than having lines in the family?

I am not understanding why lines are needed if the regions already have their boundary.

Hi @andrewU93WN, like @ToanDN mentioned, you can create Masking Regions around all your labels and use the boundary of each Masking Region to determine the lines between labels in lieu of creating a grid of Detail Lines then masking around them. I created a sample Pluming Fixture Tag with this in mind for your reference.

I have many clients who set their labels inside their tags as opaque, so it looks amateurish.

For that reason I've always left my labels transparent.

Just a quick note: it has to be a filled region; masking regions don't appear to work.

Also, these new tags will not mask out the background in a CAD export. Not a biggie as I typically only share CAD exports when doing internal collaboration.
