Good morning,

I would like to copy the grids on another floor, but in Revit (link model) they can only be seen on the ground floor. Is it also possible to copy the grids on other floors (such as 1st and 2nd floor) with the same name?
If I copy this I get a different name because the name is unique.
On the architect's drawing (revit left) these can only be seen on the ground floor.
Thank you in advance !!!

You don't copy the grids to other views, grids are essentially 3D elements.

They do however have "extents" which limit their visibility so you'll have to extend the extents to see the grids in the the upper floors.

Thank you for your reply. In fact, there is no way without them being set in revit links (according to the architect's model) He uses ArchiCAD and has some export problems.

You didn't say that the grids are in a linked file.

If it were a linked Revit file you would copy/monitor the grids into your own model so that you can control their extents. I've no idea if you can do that with an Archicad file but you could re-create them in your own model very quickly using the Grid tool on the Architectural tab and using the pick lines option to re-create your grids in exactly the same place as the ones in the link.

Change the names.

When you're creating the grids, create the first one and then change its name e.g. to A. When you then place the next grid it will automatically be B, then C etc.

Do all the horizontal ones (usually letters), then repeat the same process for the vertical grids (usually numbers).

It shouldn't take more than a few minutes.

To rename grids:

You just double click the text in the bubble and edit it.

Or select the grid line and edit its name in properties.

Or create a grid schedule and edit the names there.
