Connected air terminals/mechanical equipment are going to have a heavy effect on system assignment. You may have to reconnect or modify the terminals to update the duct network to the appropriate system type.

You can tab a duct section enough times to eventually select the duct system for deletion - the system, not the actual ducts. It would convert that system to Undefined. This is more of a blunt hammer approach: ideally you want to be correcting the air terminals/equipment connectors and re-checking the system type to see if the correct type is now selectable.

I have modelled complete floor with a lot of ducts , only to realise I did not change the system type and select the appropriate system. All are now modelled as supply air system - Any way I can assign different systems to already modelled ducts?

If you have already connected air terminals, you must first disconnect them. Then you can select a duct segment (don't select any fitting) and from properties you can change the System Type.
