I am trying to create a Points List in Revit within a Drafting View, using Revit 2020. I am having trouble finding something like a table that is editable within Drafting View. Anyone have any ideas?
I attached an example of what this table would look like (this example is from AutoCAD).

I just put the control sequence, system schematic and points on a 2D detail and call it a day. this is the exact same way controls contractors prepare their submittals and works for them. it also shows where to put each sensor etc. Everything that belongs together in one view.

so my advice is to re-think if you really need such table. On other people's projects I often see those tables in the specs and made in Word (not a fan of that, obviously)

If the points are not in the model then you can create actual detail item or noteblock schedule to get there, and you can update the table simply by changing parameter s. It is still better than drawing the table in a drafting view.

Is there any way to display this in drafting view? This is what my employer is asking for so I am not sure if I can leave the detail item on its own.

No. But you can place them on the same sheet where you place the drafting view.

When you say " If the points are not in the model " , do you mean the actual control points based on the electrical connector in families? Or what exactly?

The "Controls" type doesn't really seem to be very functional. I've been trying to do a better automated way to connect thermostats and other devices, but I didn't see a good way to leverage control points. If you found a way to use them better, I'd be curious how.
