Revit 2015 Student keeps freezing

So I recently installed Revit onto my laptop for my engineering class, but once I opened it up it was very glitchy. The buttons would not appear until after the cursor moved over it, and after just placing walls and changing the view it would freeze.

Processor: Intel (R) Core(TM) i5-5200U CPU @ 2.20GHz

RAM: 8GB

System Type: 64-Bit Operating System, x 64 based processor

Operating System: Windows 10

Hi,

Sounds like this could be a problem with the desktop scaling. Revit and a lot of other applications will have problems if the scalfactor is set to a higher value than 150%.

Please make sure that this setting is between 100%-150% - see attached image

okay so that fixes the display problem, but it still freezes a little after opening
