topic moved survey point late in the project. in Revit Cloud Worksharing Forum

I'm a structural reviteer so I use the arch. revit model to start my projects. I link in the arch model (default auto origin to origin) acquire it's coordinates than remove the linked model and reload it using shared coordinates. At times the architect has relocated the model by moving the survey point late in the game. Reloading this new model reeks havoc with copy/ monitored items, not to mention the work needed to fix the problem on my end.

My question is; If the arch. (after moving the survey point) where to publish the "new" coordinates to my linked model before sending it back to me would my model pick up on this and be aligned without any work on my part?

Hi

Because Architectural model has changed the survey point, your previous

published coordinate are of no use.

I would suggest compare the survey point, before and after..

and make changes accordingly to your model to fix the problem.

This should bring the Arch model at correct location once linked...

You can even try testing this one small files before applying to your main project.

Cheers
