Guys, while badmouthing Rv latest version, I have to admit they did a great job on the Tree family since v14. But since then it s stoped.

As you can see here a rendering of December solstice with...summer trees. While waiting for Rv to make the additional change, I wonder if we can somehow manipulate the tree family to be y/n parametric to show logical winter trees without leaves. Of course I understand this is a jpg matter.

Yes, RDaou, I have tried to make changes to the OTB family without success.

Are you talking RPCs? Autodesk has nothing to do with those. They are provided via a partnership with Archvision. You can go to https://archvision.com/ to purchase more RPC content if you want.

RPC is very limited in terms of controlling the tree base on the season. If you want to behave what you want, you have to import it from another software like Sketchup, 3dmax or etc. You can also checkout BIMobject. They have wide selection of trees you can use. You can even turn off leaves to simulate the winter months.

https://www.bimobject.com/en-us/search?fullText=tree&sort=trending&page=1

Sorry guys, I wasn't clear myself. Yes, I was talking about RPC trees, in associate with solar study animation, where the trees turn skeleton at winter solstice. This is beyond our ability, I believe.

To RDaou, yes, I tried that simplicity approach, like I said, it not working. When I click off the RPC, the skeleton (simple family from Rvcity) also gone. This maybe of RPC specific setting. And yes, for energy saving minds, it's matter, at least to convince clients.
