How do you change linetype of "Casework [projection]" symbolic lines subcategory?

I'm creating kitchen cabinets, the upper ones. Since they're above the cut line, I want them to be dashed. So I draw symbolic lines in floor plan, set it to "Casework [projection]" subcategory, they go solid. It's OK, doesn't matter what they look in family editor, I'll just change it in project, under Object styles. Right? Wrong.

There is nothing under Casework category except "Hidden Lines". Family is under the correct category (Casework) and when I put those lines on "Hidden lines [projection]" category, changing them in project works fine when changing "Hidden lines" under Casework, in Object styles.

How do I change how "Casework [projection]" subcategory looks?

In the Family editor (ie: edit the family)

Go to Object Styles
Create a new Subcategory name it:XYZ...under Category Casework...This will give u access to 2 Line Styles
- XYZ(Projection),
- XYZ(Cut)
Give the above a Line Weight and Line Patten for each case (Projection/Cut)
Select the lines and/or form/geometry and shift them to XYZ(Projection)
Load into project

Now under Casework you should see the above subcategories

Create an Overhead or Upper casework subcategory and assign it your upper casework linework, then change the 3d element to be invisible on plan/rcp. If you open an OOTB wall cabinet family you will it is setup similarly.

Indeed, manually created category is accessible in project. Thanks!

Do you know what's the purpose of built in categories that can't be accedes in project?

They basic ootb one are the parent category and the subcategory and both should be / are accessible in the project.

They are not grayed out at your end...or are they?

Oh, I think I was being a little stupid. I was looking for them under "Casework" category. I was looking for casework category, under casework category. I'll go hide.
