Precast stair that begin and end with tread. How to hide first and last step of a stair in plan?

I have made a precast stair. Begin and end with riser is unticked, so that the first and last tread is level with the landings, and the stairs are connected with a notch.

The problem is that even if these treads are level with the landings, they appear in plan view and makes the landings look very narrow. I have managed to make the direction arrow begin and end with the first and last risers.

Is there a way to make the first and last step dissappear in plan?

These treads are merely there for practical reasons, and should not be visible in plan.

In the plan view you could use a Masking Region (set the boundary to invisible lines), or you could use the Linework tool

(on the modify tab) to override the line style to invisible lines.

In plan view

Use the masking region tool (on the Annotate tab) set the boundary line to invisible

start to draw a rectangle to cover the lines for the last riser

drag the mask along until you have covered all the lines you want to hide

once you have the mask in place it will hide the lines underneath.

This is a possible way, and will make the graphics look right.

Howeverer, it would be good if this was happening automatically, at least possible to hide at certain scales, as this is not a line that would normally be visible in a plan drawing

The issue you have is, in your plan view Revit is showing the stair as you have modelled it.

So you either have to mask the bits you don't want to see or you would need to model the stairs differently.

By unchecking the start/begin with riser, you have set it to level the last and first tread with the landing!!.

Either edit the landing so that they do not overlap and look right
Or re-apply the start with riser and change the desired number of risers to maintain the desired number of tread...ie: the landing will act as the last Tread (no need to join and no need to hide)

Use Linework tool to assign <Invisible Lines>.
