Linear array family

I have just created a family array for an insulation. The problem is that the first 10cm aprox has to be different from the rest of the familiy. This is because some time the insulation is on top of an steel angle, that slightly change the position of the insulation. This happen between section A and B. Please see attached sketch. I would like to make it directly with a family. Ideally I would click on A, then on B and then and the end. Also in B woudl be nice if I could type the slope height.

Any ideas?

What's being Arrayed in that Screen Capture?

You can create an item for the red part then draw it in two-part
in part one by one distance then another by ones

The dashed linework? Why not just use a hatch pattern?
