Can this be done with Revit? (wall from 3D polyline)

I wonder if Revit is capable of modelling a wall from a 3D polyline either by drawing on imported CAD (*.dwg) or with the help of planes, model lines and reference lines etc.

Here is a simple sketch of what I'd like to model:

Highly appreciate any hint or info if this could be done in Revit.

Maybe some Revit guru could also tell me how.

Yes.

- Create an in place mass

- Draw the spline on plan, select it and create form

- Draw a shape on elevation around the form, select it and create a void form, stretch it to cut the surface form

- Finish the mass

- Create a Wall by face and select the surface

You are showing a flat wall. I don't believe a curved wall can be profile edited, unless Autodesk added that functionality recently.

Is that 3D polylines on both top AND bottom? Yikes.

Technically with Dynamo?

This is ultimately still the Wall.ByFace method, so cutting openings/modifying the wall after creation is going to be an absolute pain.

Yes,this was for flat wall.

and for curve wall you can always use the Void element :

I'll try to follow your steps to recreate the wall.

This "problem" seem to be almost solved. I just need to practice.

Once the wall thing is done there comes another question

It's a real world example, a railway underpass:

Simplified it would look somehow like below picture

It took me the whole day to try to model it with no result.

So my final question would be how to achieve that.

While I am still trying to understand what you did there I tried to model this wall using Swept Blends.

I wonder if your method is exactly the same as mine?

Can you confirm the exact result?

Which way is "better"?

While playing around with the modelling tools I'm stuck at an error:

Could someone explain why I cant apply a Void Swept Blend on a Swept Blend?

Before close the edit mode ,use the void to cut a model or something ,if you don't use the void , Revit Delete it.In this situation , I prefer use the Mass.
