Revit wall based family with room area formula

Hello

I would like to create a family with the possability to use the information of the room area where this family is placed in, to calculat within the family a parameter e.g:

Parameter x = room area x Parameter z

Is there a way to use the room area in this kind of family ?

You need Dynamo to write Room area information to a shared parameter of the family, then you can use it in a formula.

Are you aware that Revit families can be made Room-Aware by activating the Room Calculation Point in Family.

Relevant Room information can then be brought into the Schedule, as well as into Calculated Parameters' Formulas within the Schedule.
