Hi. Thanks for your reply.

I actually for now had to avoid your solution and go for curtain systems, because I am using a rotating panel that, as far as I know, can't be created as an adaptive family or pattern based. Probably I'm wrong and there's a way. I'm attaching the panel family. Maybe you know how to make it adpative or pattern based.

Thanks.

Regards.

Is it possible to have curved horizontal mullions in Curtain Systems?

Hi everyone.

I am playing with curtain walls and curtain systems for a curved curtain wall following a spline path.

For now, I am using the curtain system option in order to be able to twist it later if necessary.

However, I am finding myself with the difficulty of curving the mullions along the spline path. While using the CUrtain Wall option I was able to assign a wall type to the panels, which would be followed by the segmentation of the rid to create the mullions (as panels), in the curtain system option, wall types cannot be used as panels so this solution is not possible. So now I have a curtain panel that is segmented and the mullions are not curved. (please see the screenshot).

By any chance do you know a workaround with curtain systems to achieve curved mullions?

Thanks so much

No. Some workarounds:

1. Use mass > divided surface > adaptive family or pattern based family.

2. Use structural frame.

3. Model curved glass wall and use Wall sweeps for mullions.

Of course adaptive family or pattern based family can do rotating panel AND true curved mullions. Curtain system, however, is segmented just like curtain wall.

By any chance do you know how to convert the curtain panel family I attached into an adaptive one?

I have tried loading into an adaptive generic model but Revit does not allow me.

Do I need to start it again from scratch?

Thanks

You mean like a Pattern Based panel? If so, what is there to "convert"? It's a rectangular extrusion. Just start a new family based on the Curtain Panel Pattern Based Template, select the 4 Ref. Lines in the Template and then press Create Form (Solid) - and then modify the Form's Positive and Negative Offset Parameter values as you wish.
