Question - I there a way to interrogate a REVIT Project to list the FILE NAME that was used for the shared co-ordinate system?

To explain all our projects are tied together using shared co-ordinates they are usually acquired from the AutoCAD 2D topo survey. These Projects cover multiple disciplines Elec, Mech Civil etc. The problem arises with some of our work that is offshored (India) some Project models do not co-ordinate correctly. I can only assume a different AutoCAD file has been used to acquire co-ordinates.

I would like to find a way of discovering the offending file that has been used ? I assume this information is embeded in the project somewhere ? any ideas anyone? Many Thanks in advance

Cheers

Glenn

Could be due to the curvature of the earth too. I mean, it doesn't sound like you are using GIS coordinates. What's the relationship between the modeled elements and the survey origin? Is it great?

I just want a way to find the FILE NAME used for Co-ordination. REVIT does not seem to list this I'm assuming its buried within the Project date somehow. I just curios if there is a way of confirming what FILE was used.

All Topo Survey is GB National Grid Ref (not Local) but as you know you can only use one file for shared co-ordinated and I suspect the offshore team are using a different Topo? hence my quest to find out what FILE NAME was used

Unfortunately they don't know and keep guessing using different files its a shambles.

I need a way to find THE actual co-ordination file used hence the question to fix the mess.

REVIT recognises its a different shared co-ordinates so how does it identify this ? where is this shared parameter file listed ?
