Have you tried with or without the latest IFC2023 addin?

If the issue is (also) happening with the IFC addin you might go to the Revit IFC site on GITHUB and report this issue.

REVIT 2023 export to ifc geometry wrong

Hi! Finally started a new project with revit 2023. Anyway there seems to be a bug when door is inserted to a edge of a wall then some geometry is lost during ifc export!

I attach images to see. From revit: revit view

This is how geometry is in IFC:

So far I have investigated and it seems to happen only when opening is placed on wall edge. Luckly it is a cast-in-place concrete building but that could be real problematic if it would be precast RC walls..

I have tried with several other ifc export settings but result seem to be the same.

I managed to solve the issue. This is how I solved it: I created a new door family using RVT 2023 Family templates(Metric Door). All the settings within family were same and when I place that new door opening on wall then wall geometry is exported to IFC correctly! Image:

Left is wall using my old door family and right I have wall using new door family:
