Hide particular section type in other views

I found similar questions but not come across what I'm looking for. Apologies if the answers out there and I've just not found it!

Is there a method of hiding a specific section type but to show another?

To explain:

I create lots of sections for drafting purposes that are never issued on drawing sheets - therefore I do not need these section lines/heads/tails to show up on any issued drawings.

I have other sections where the section view does appear on issued drawing sheets - therefore I need these section lines/heads/tails to show on associated plans and elevations.

I have created two different section styles so they are listed under different headings in the project browser. They are also visually distinct so I can easily identify them in plans and elevations.

What I would like to do is to turn off the visibility of the drafting sections - for example by using the view template.

Any suggestions much appreciated 🙂

Create a Rule-Based Filter that selects those specific Marker Types and Add the Filter to the View Template.

Aha! Exactly what I need!

Unfortunately I am using Revit LT and this is one of the functions not available to those of us in the cheap seats!

If it is only for printing then don't place drafting sections on sheets and tick Hide unreferenced view tags under print settings.

If you also want to hide them in views then set the [Hide at scale coarser than] to a scale larger than those of the views you don't want the sections to show.
