Hi,

Spot Elevation (FLOOR PLAN) families have the option to show upper and lower value. Is there a way to control the lower value?

I would like to in two ways:

A: Upper should show project base point and Lower survey.

B: Upper should show floor finish (level) and Lower floor construction top (core top).

As of now it shows UK and OK of floor based on either both survey point or project base point according to floor total thickness.

Any Idea?

It is either/or

You can workaround that by creating multiple types and overlaying them:

The type you use for Upper set to Project Base Point

The type you use for Lower set to Survey Point

The Type you use for Levels, use Relative and after placement >> Go to the properties panel and define the level desired

Then combine as you wish

Even if I can't combine types. Is there a way to control the lower value (like minus 15 from top or hight of floor core) not bottom. In FP i usually want to show how think the floor filling is to pass piping etc but don't care much for total thickens that can be seen in section.

Hi sound like an idea. But how do I set the relative value to floor core? it only allows me to set relative to specific floor level that is a floor finish

That’s how datum’s are…same principal as the levels. Coordinates are measured with respect to SP/PBP or relative to another datum elements and not geometries/objects

It is not quite common to have a level at the top of the structural slab and one at the bottom but If you want it to report elevation relative to the center line of the structural core, you would need a level there.

May be helpfull for some. instead of doing a sublevel or splitting the core floor and floor finish. I made a mini slab of just the finish height. placed a spot elevation that shows top bottom and then hid the 'frame' or mini floor finish with invisible line.

That is what I said in the previous reply. multiple levels are a must (OKFF top of finish floor, OKRD/top of structural floor, and UKRD bottom of structural)

It is not a workarounds, it is a common practice. You use 2 floor slabs like it normally would be.

first floor element for the structural core (not sloped) and you would have the OK and UK levels for this this is usually modeled by the structural engineer

second floor element for the…set to variable to you could slop the top and maintain a flat bottom

Nonetheless, regardless of how many floor elements u use, you can use one floor element for all but you would still need the level datum to act as a Relative base. You cannot do it with one level for all disciplines

And you do not need to create views for all those levels and you can filter them not to show in sections and elevations if they bother u
