topic Rotate Project North in Revit Architecture Forum

In Revit 2023

So the client requested that we rotate all of the floor plans so that north is DOWN on the sheets.

So I went to the Project Location tab, clicked Position down arrow and clicked Rotate Project North, 180 degrees. Everything worked perfectly and I was quite impressed, all the rooms, tags, everything rotated. Except for my Generic Annotations Hex Keys (Demo Notes).

Now, in CAD I could very easily select all instances in the view and go the properties palette and there would be a rotation value of 180 just change it to 0, boom done in 2 seconds. But NOOOO is revit I have to now select each demo note individually and rotate them one at a time 180 degrees. That fixes my immediate problem, but I want to avoid this in the future if at all possible. They were made in house, and the keep readable box is checked, that's the only thing I could think of that would fix it. But I would like to edit my hex notes so that they will rotate in the future if we ever have to do this again. Any suggestions?

Thanks

For future proof, use Keynotes instead of Generic annotations.

Are we talking tags or generic annotations here? Tags will rotate themselves after you rotated the project north. You wouldn't need to do a thing.

Its a program that comes with Revit that allows for the automation of repetitive tasks. It has a steep learning curve, but once you learn it, you can do all sorts of things. Rotating multiple objects on their own axis is one that several tutorials use to introduce the program.
