If you set the Rafter Cut for the Roof to Plumb or Square, you can apply a Fascia Depth more or less tailor the end. But it won't do what you want. There's no void-Fascia. You could create a Void Family to cut the roof end to your needs and then apply a Fascia, or you can model both Void and Fascia in a Family, set option 'Cut with Voids when loaded', place the Family and cut the roof end / place Fascia in one go.

"Roof Fascia Void Sweep".... Possible?

Revit LT.... so can't model in place.

Looking for a way to model a different roof edge profile (not a plumb or 90 degree cut) where I basically clip off the end of the roof so that I can apply fascia and gutter to that particular profile.

I'm accustomed to working with families outside of the model so that is not the issue here.

What I want to be able to do is create a void sweep that I can "store" as a "roof fascia" so I can use this family for similar situations later (Don't like the "generic" category or button).

Can't seem to figure out a way to make the sweep I create act as void but otherwise works properly.

Can anyone offer any guidance as to whether my approach is possible and if it is, what I need to do to make this work?

This is the family. It was created as a hosted profile.

Notes:

I created this invisible lines thinking that would be required

I'm not seeing anyway to toggle between void/ visible (like I've seen in some other sweep types)

I have assigned this sweep to "wall sweep" as the profile usage type

The red lines are how I'm intending to use the void sweep. Note that I want to be able to add a fascia board at the cut angle once I have the void sweep in place and the roof edge profile appears cut on a 30 degree angle. That will go behind the gutter.

Working properly but not a void....

Thanks!

Thanks Simon!

I’ll experiment with some if this today and let you know how it goes.

Much appreciated!
