Matterport plugin

Hi,

I installed the free trial version of Revit today and would like to add a plugin from Matterport. The plugin is free, you need to be an active Matterport user to access it. However, when I go to the "Add-ins" tab in Revit, I don’t see the "Import" option to install the plugin.

Could someone please advise on how to proceed?

With Revit closed, run the installer. After it installs restart Revit. You may see a warning about loading the add-in. Accept it. The Matterport add-in should either be its own tab, or part of the Add-ins tab

Thanks for your reply! This is probably the solution, but how can I reinstall a trial version? I mean, I need to uninstall it and then install it again, but it’s a TRIAL... Am I allowed to download it again?

You don't need to reinstall it, restart it.

Oh! Thanks...however, I restart it but nothing happened 😞 and the warning about loading the add-in did not appear. Another suggestion? I need to install that plugin in Revit...

Some plugins are installed and added to the menu without any popups or warning. You will have to contact the plugin developers.

I would not recommend tampering with revit installtion everytime you have an issue with a pluging. if the plugin installation was not successful the first time, it is preferable that you unistall the plugin itself and reinstall it....NOT Revit!

To uninstall a Revit plugin, Autodesk recommends the following steps:

Use the Control Panel (if the addin offer such a feature):
- Navigate to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
- Locate the specific plugin in the list of installed programs.
- Select it and click Uninstall.
Remove Add-In Files Manually:
- If the plugin isn't listed in the Control Panel, you can manually remove its add-in files:
  - Open Windows File Explorer.
  - Navigate to the appropriate add-ins folder for your Revit version:
    - For all users: C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\[Revit version year]\
    - For the current user: %APPDATA%\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\[Revit version year]\
  - Locate the .addin file associated with the plugin you wish to remove.
  - Delete or move this file to prevent Revit from loading the plugin.

Thanks! but I just realized what's happening: the plugin is available for Revit 2024, not yet for Revit 2025... So I hope I can get a trial version for Revit 2024... and try both products together
