View title instance Label Visibility control from view properties

I am working on the project template for our office. I try to control the visibility of the scale and sheet ref label from the view properties. Otherwise I have to create for all different viewports 3 more options.

I tried to do it with shared parameters but I could not control the visibility. I need help please!!

View titles need to be type controlled. You setup different Viewport types and assign a view title type to that viewport type. Then use your visibility controls in each view title type to control what is visible

Thank you for your answer @chubbard, my question is: I can create type parameters for view title family but can't for views in the project (or template).

Can you please explain in deep?

It's not views you are setting types, but viewports. See below for my viewport types. Note you cannot assign parameters to the line viewport type etc. Open a sheet and click on a viewport. Create a new type and assign one of your view title types. Control the visibility there.

We used to have 4 or 5 different view titles before we got the visibility worked out and went to just a single with multiple combinations.

If I understand right, I have to create a new viewport for every option (one for with ref and scale, another for with no ref, and a third one for with no ref and no scale) and for every size of view title.

Yes.

However, you can use Custom Scale to set the Scale to display however you want, without turning it on or off.

OOTB 1/8" = 1'-0" scale

Custom 1/8" = 1'-0" scale

You are correct Here is the properties from my View title. We V/G everything so if we run into a strange situation where we need a unique title we can do it from inside the project typically. We just make a new title type set the parameters, create a new viewport type and assign the correct title type. Done and done

I have about 8 sizes so I will have 24 types that is what I was trying to avoid 🙂

Yeah that is a PITA. Also be aware that the first type in the list will be the default viewport type. So users will need to go back and change the type each time.
