Hello, I have upgraded to the newest Revit while I haven't been using it for a while and one thing I noticed is that I can't minimize a window anymore. For example, when I have two projects open with multiple views/windows and split these windows (by WT keys), I could at first choose to minimize these windows, so that I only see the windows being split (by WT) which I wanted to see. This was really convenient since I didn't have to close a project, but just minimize the window(s) of that project and work on the other project with splitted windows until I need the other project again. But now I can't see the minimize button anymore or am I missing something?

Ah so basically I have to drag the view of the second project outside of the windows and then I can minimize it. It is basically one more action than it was before as I could at first minimize it directly on the tab, but at least it still works this way. Thanks!

That isn’t very pleasant, you can only minimise by dragging a window out and then minimise. And then you need to drag them up to duck it back. The introduction of the multi-screen use was great but not being able to minimise an open window is a real backward move from the 2019 version. Autodesk should put an effort into advancing software in line with professional people's use rather than IT experts.

I hear you! this is annoying.

I think they replaced that function with being able to drag windows outside of the Revit environment.

That being said, I agree. Being able to minimize the view is a much more useful and valuable tool that needs to be reintegrated. I have not found much use in the new function (to my surprise) and I find the whole thing cumbersome.

Hi @celebi6H3VS,

That was pre-Revit 2019 behaviour before the viewtabs, so-called MDI windows within a parent window.

From R2019 they changed it to Tabbed form with drag/anchoring views on each other.

Or drag a viewtab outside the main UI.

You can also drag the "unwanted" windows into a "wanted" window.

WT, Grab a tab, drag over one of the window you want, it turns blue, drop.

Now those views are tabbed in that window, it will reduce the quantity of windows, then resize the remaining windows. You now have tabbed split-screen in Main Window.
