Hi,
I am trying to model a roof like the attached picture.

I have tried creating a plain roof, and then modified sub element, but it could not guarantee planar faces.

I am also trying to make a mass first and then make roof by surface, but I could not make a proper mass form.
Anyone has an idea to do this? thank you!

Sorry , I was talking about the roof faces (picture updated)
Also, the roof footprint need to be on a slope plane. Now I just make it on a normal working plane and then move the sub-elements up.
just like to know if there is a way to make a precise roof like the first two pictures?

thanks!

Draw parallel ref planes on section so that you can modify subelements snapping to the planes to ensure planar surfaces. 4 lower points snapping to one ref plane and 4 higher points snapping to another ref plane.

What is this for? Some sort of training manual or something? And now you want us to review it and check for errors? We're not Publication Editors here, sir. This is a Revit Users Forum. Users helping users to use the software. As for how you use it, is your bag, but most of us use here use Revit to plan construction. Basically, to build something in the digital world the way it will be built in the real world. You asked how to model a particular roof. I told you to "Simplify. Create 4 roofs and shape edit each of them." Essentially the same way it will be physically constructed. In sections. IME, most modeling challenges can be easily resolved by simply modeling the structure the way it will be built. If one doesn't understand how something will be built, then research how it will be or can be. That information isn't going to come from some page in a manual entitled "How to make an uneven slope roof with slope footprint".
