revit label calculated value text

I have parameter "current revision" that look like this- "for aproval-1" or "work in progress-12"

I want to use the same parameter for Design Phase BUT I need that label to be without the "-12"

Do you all know if I can use opperation like LEFT in excel for text in the calculated value?

or any ideas that can delete the hyphen and the number?

A Calculated Parameter in a Schedule? A Calculated Value Label in a Tag? What does the formula read? What is it evaluating?

No. You would need to use Dynamo to extract a partial value of a string and write it to another parameter.
