It looks like you have material that ties with other. You have to duplicate the asset so you make the material independent.

I have a model that was built in Revit - imported to Lumion. I'm aware that when you duplicate the materials & give it a different material face, it will generally separate the material. I can't seem to figure this out for my glass materials. It still highlights the glass material in the entire project of the model and changes that material everywhere.

Can someone help walk me through how to separate this? (I haven't used Lumion for like 8 months so I am drawing blanks)

Do you want to separate the face of the glass with different material? The easiest way is to create new solid extrusion touching the existing glass material and add new material parameter.

Maybe? I am not sure If I was 100% following your response.

I have several glass partitions (curtain walls) but only one set should have texture. I want that set to be recognized differently in lumion.

Can you screenshot or show me what you mean by making a new solid extusion?

This is what I am talking about where you have two solid objects touching each other so you have control of material for each object.

When duplicating a material, you need to assign a different Appearance Asset, or duplicate the Appearance Asset as well. Lumion distinguishes materials based on their Appearance Assets, not by their Names nor Graphics Assets.

I duplicated it.... both appearance and material and it's still recognizing it the same. Even added the image to help separate it from the rest. Still seems to be selecting all the glass in the full project.

Thought I responded here....

So I had tried that its why there is a (2) in parenthesis..... If I duplicate asset again it just replaces it with a (3) but nothing seems to change. Am I missing something? Maybe I am duplicating the asset but not actually applying it to the curtain wall? - I selected my curtain wall and then went to the manage tab and duplicated and also duplicated the asset.... I'm guessing this didn't actually update anything to my actual material.

But it doesn't look like I can update the material in the properties. The materials and finishes under edit type is grayed out.
