which is honestly ridiculous. and need to be fixed. I have a bunch of details nicely organized and one random detail that needs to be a plan callout just so I can get it cut in the right place.

edit: decided to just make two details in same spot (one plan and one detail) then copy the detail elements over to the detail callout and hide the walls.

Hi fellas!

Is it possible to have a callout above the cut plane in any way?
Or edit the view range?

Want the callout the show a window above cut plane (shows in plan with filter)

If your enlarged plan (callout) needs 1 view range but has an area that needs another cut plane elevation, use the Plan Region command in the Callout view.

See the following video:

Oh totally forgot that plan regions exist. That should do it, thanks.

But this does not work in Revti 2024 any more. Plan region option is greyed out when i am in the callout view. Any solution on that ?

To create a plan region in a Revit callout view, place a callout in your main floor plan, then create a plan region within the new callout view by going to the View tab > Create panel > Plan Region, and drawing a closed loop. Adjust the View Range for that region on the Properties palette to define a different cut plane or view depth for that specific area, allowing for detailed display of elements like high windows or a different floor level.

Thanks you for the reply. I found out that the important thing is to choose a floor plan call out, not a detail call out from the properties meny before placing the call out. Still not quite sure what the difference is, but by choosing a floor plan call out i can adjust the view range in the call out view and/or place a plan region. It does not work by choosing a detail view call out.
