How to joint corners of Fasciae?

Please see attached PDFs (two are attached).

The fascia is added to each side of the new roof, but on the corners they do not joint. Have tried the joint geometry tool to joint the corners, but that is not working.

Please note that the roof slopes, so do the fasciae with the roof.

Originally I applied the fascia all at one time, and the joints where like that also, now I tried to apply them separately, and the same happened and could not join them neither of the ways applied.

How to join the corners so they miter nicely?

Thanks in advance.

The miter tool is not working in this situation.

I think this is more like a miter wall joint type of situation, but that is not working neither, or there is another tool that can do the joint with the miters? (Like I said, also, the joint geometry tool is not working neither).

Place the fascia in one go, or, select an existing fascia and use add segment button or something similar.

Yeah, that's a weird corner condition. I can't get there with fascia or in-place sweep. I modeled as a roof.

...here's another view from above. Roof as Fascia (tan material).

1. Copy existing roof to Clipboard

2. Paste Aligned to Same Place

3. Edit Footprint

4. Offset (w/ copy on) the roof boundary the thickness of the fascia (e.g. 1 1/2"). Offset towards exterior.

5. Remove all the Define Slopes on interior boundary, and put them on exterior boundary instead.

6. Finish Edit Footprint

7. Select this new roof, and duplicate and name the Type to "Fascia" (...or whatever).

8. Modify Structure of the "Fascia" Type to change it's thickness (e.g. if it's a 1x12 fascia, make the thickness 11 1/4").

Thanks Barth, your suggestion worked.

But this unneeded (and unexpected) joints issue could have been resolved quickly if the Joint Geometry tool had worked also with this facia profile too. Any ideas why the Joint Geometry tool do not work with this type of profile?
