Can't delete Revision type?

I'm tidying up my practice's template, and found a couple of old revision styles that have the delete option greyed out. Why would this be?

Revit comes with 2 default numberings that cannot be deleted (Alphanumeric & Numeric).

Your 2 DO NOT USE types are likely those which have been renamed.

I would edit them and make them the same as your Preliminary and Construction types and then delete the created ones of those types you currently have.

You are correct, they are the OOTB revisions. The issue is we want to use the Numeric numbering system for both Prelim & Construction revisions. My understanding is that the numbering type of these two OOTB types can't be changed, so the Alphanumeric variant will linger forever?

Getting a bit fed up of having to use workarounds for what should be simple functions.

Alphanumeric uses a custom sequence which can contain anything, including numbers. You can simply type in the sequence you want.

I am well aware, but I wish to use the numeric for both, as they are required to behave in the same way.
I don't understand why the ability to remove these has been disabled.
I shall have to continue to leave the DO NOT USE revision types, unless perhaps Dynamo can fix missing Revit features once again...

It would be nice if Revit was dynamic and allowed the user to delete any numberings they wanted as long as there is at least 1 remaining instead of locking out some.

Or even just letting the user change the types of the defaults.

Agreed. I would say I feel an Idea Board brewing, but I'm yet to see Autodesk implement any of the previous suggestions
