Thank you. Does this method calculate both sides of the wall, or the only way to calculate the exterior walls only is through Dinamo?

Calculating Building Envelope SF from Outside Face of Insulation?

Is there a way to calculate a buildings Envelope SF from outside face of insulation and show something like this broken out into a table and on a sheet? I need to add up all square footages for the 6 sides of a building for an energy model/analysis. The way I'm currently doing this is finding the perimeter of each level at the outside face of insulation, multiplying that by the building height and adding the building footprint and roof area together.

Is there a simpler way?

Is there a way to show this in a table within Revit?

I'd use Schedules in order to filter and calculate element's areas , something as shown in my screencast:

Another way to calculate outside faces could be by using Dynamo:

you can select in Dynamo multiple Face from Revit elements and then calculate their total Area.
