Change wall thickness but keep interior dimensions

I need to change my exterior walls from 2x6 walls with brick to 2x4 walls. But I want to keep the interior dimensions the same, so I just need to take the space off the outside.

But when I just simply change the wall type it deletes dimensions, deletes windows, moves doors etc.

I can change the wall direction with the little blue arrows in the middle, then change the wall type but the dimensions are all wrong or deleted after that.

Frist draw with reference planes (or detail lines) a rectangle or boundary with the desired interior dimensions. Then select the existing walls and change the wall type. Then use the Align tool to align the interior face of the new walls to the reference rectangle or boundary. I made a test and this worked well.

Change the Walls Location Line to the Interior Wall Face (e.g. Blue Dot at Interior Face). Then change the Wall Type.

This is something that is done all the time. I don't know why door/windows/dimensions would be deleted in your case. I can see that the wall change is going to affect your EXTERIOR dimensions though - as they should. You're changing from 2X6 to 2X4. That's a 1 1/2" difference in stud thickness and you are pulling your dimensions between exterior faces in your screenshots.

I see these blue dots, but they are on the exterior, when I move those they
move the walls.
I can click on the blue arrows, but that keeps the same exterior position
and it mirrors the wall to the other side of the existing exterior...

It should change the exterior dimensions, I want it to do that, but it is
trying to keep the exterior dimensions and it changes the interior ones...

Thanks for your answer, this would work but it SO much work that I have to
do for each wall, I was really hoping Revit had a simple easy way to do
this.

This would work, but its a lot of work to do that for each wall. I was hoping that Revit had something easier for this simple change.

Yes, this is what I needed. For some reason it still deletes a lot, but this the easiest way to do it. Thanks!
