Modify Room Boundary in Section?

Using Revit 2015 - the attached JPG shows a stair tower, in theory this is one "room" (Stair ST-1). There is a "jog" at the 2nd floor that continues up through the rest of levels. Is there a way to modify the room boundary to read the "jog" and eliminate the piece of the room that is outside the stair tower (in red)? All walls are set to be room bounding.

The interior walls at each level at the "jog" should be checked to be Room Bounding. Seems like that would do it.

Well, then perhaps the walls are "leaking" somewhere.

Are any doors offset above the level? What does the Plan look like? Any openings, columns, room separation lines?

Any Design Options? Linked models not set to Room Bounding?

As a quick test, try placing a new interior wall toward the inside of the current walls. Does the room behave correctly?

None of the above. I'm starting to think it has something to do with the vertical partition wall being continuous. If I stretch the room down a level and add a new room, it displays correctly...

Hi, is there any update regarding this issue? I am facing the same problem. Because of the room boundary, the roombook quantification is not calculating the wall finishes accurately. Please, if there is any update. Appreciate it

hi, thank you for your reply. I have resolved the issue. I have to create a level for the room with different area size and use room separator to include the bigger area. Hope this helps.

Steps:

- Make model elements (walls, floor, roof) room bounding

- Set Room Computations to calculate Volume

- Place Room in the level where the Room is largest, in this example it is Level 1

- Go to a section and drag the top grip up passing the roof and the room will fill correctly, jog or not
