All Features of the Information Center Bar are Inoperable. For example, Depressing the Help Icon (the question mark) in the Information Center Bar does not take me to the help feature. The drop-down menu appears but selecting any of the drop-down options (what's New, Essential Skills, Learning Paths, etc.) does not take me anywhere. Trying to access help using the F1 key also doesn't take me anywere. All Features available through the Information Center Bar exhibit the same behavior (drop-downs appear but links are inoperable).

I'm using Revit 2016 Student Version.

Any ideas?

LeadSwede

Consider resetting the UI by following the steps found here: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Resetting-the-Autodesk-Revit-2014-user-interface.html

See if that helps.

Has the bar been non-functional since Revit was installed or is this a recent occurence? Have you installed any addins?

What functions are you attempting to access through the information center? The buttons you mention simply bring up a link using your system's default browser. It is possible there is a problem with the browser you have installed or what the system default is set to be.

Autodesk's help is available online https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products#?p=RVT&p_disp=Revit%20Products&sort=score

Another possibility is that network settings/firewall are blocking the information center from accessing the internet. Make sure that Revit and other Autodesk products are allowed through your computer's firewall. There are plenty of guides for this online.

If it is critical to get the UI functioning fully, you can attempt the repair utility.

Here is a link of how to repair an AutoCAD installation. You can follow the steps and simply select Revit in "Programs and Features".

If these help, please mark the thread as answered.
