Create Facade

Hey guys,

I would like to create a facade that looks something like the attached file. The blue part would be windows obviously and the white just regular wall or something like that. Any pointers on how i can do this in revit?

Think about how this should be made in real life. It is nice to create a beautiful design but if it can not be constructed it is just that, a beautiful design.

How things are going to be made should give you an idea how to design it in Revit.

Few Posibilities:

1-Create curtain walls. A panel contains a certain repetion of the pattern.

2-Create a (face based) family with void extrusions and extrusion for the glass.

Be careful with too much detail and too many voids. This can impact project size and performance.

3-Consider using material with the pattern (image).

My preference would be @L.Maas's option 2.

Create a window family using an array and then just insert it into the wall and set the required width. That said if you are new to Revit and families that might be a fairly major undertaking...
