Stack Properties and Project Browser Windows

I can get my Project Browser and Properties Windows to dock to the left of my screen, but cannot get them to stack one on top of the other. Is there a way to do this please?

Dock your project browser to the left side. Drag the properties window to the bottom of the project browser. Then you should see an outline appearing, release your mouse and they should be stacked.

I find it easier to un-dock both of them so that they are free-floating on your screen. Then dock them together, one on top of the other. Then finally dock the combination over to the left side.

I can't seem to undock them from one another. When I turn one off, move it around, and then turn the other one on, they are both overlaid on each other, and the only way to get to them is by selecting their tabs.

If they are SHARING the same window, as evidenced by the fact that they are tabbed... grab one of the tabs and drag it completely outside of the window.

Revit 2017, As I try to dock to left side, the pallet & browser take up the full width of the screen.

Suggestions to keep this from happening?

Very good, sir,

I get the two to join, howerver, the pallet & browser don't dock for me on all tries.

What am I missing to make them dock and not remain floating ing the new left side of view window location.

Some times they dock, some times they don't.

As you see I had to dock one first then snap the second one to the bottom of the first. Each takes several tries.

Yes,

I just realized that moving the top window, Properties Pallet, to the left & dragging the cursor off the left side of the view window for final docking does the trick.

This way worked easily. It is a little sensitive, but once the two are locked together it is a piece of cake.

Subtitles:

1. Click in the (blue) title bar of the Properties, Project browser, or other window you want to dock.

2. Drag the window you want to move by its top left corner in its title bar to the top left corner of the view.

3. A dotted latching frame appears.

4. If you latch the top left corner of the window you are dragging to the bottom of the ribbon bar, then the window you are dragging will dock on top of the view.

5. If you latch the top left corner of the window you are dragging to the left edge of the view, then the window you are dragging will dock to the left of the view.
