How to Fix Warped Foreground Pattern when adding split lines on floors?

I'm creating a Shower Floor, When I add a Split line and create a trapezoid shape for the floor to slope into the drain, the Tile Pattern Warps. The reason I'm using a trapezoid shape and not a square shape is because the longest sloped lines create that shape when toucing the drain perimeter; when directing those lines to the center of the drain. When I fix it and change it into a square the warp stays but I have to reset the floor and do it all over again with the square and the warp is are gone.

I found the following:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-ideas/site-models-fix-hatch-patterns-for-shape-edited-floors/idi-p/6459815

I'm posting the question just to check if its something that can be fixed in Revit 2023. Else I'll just stick with Rectangles and squares.

what is your ultimate goal for the tile....

are you just wanting straight lines on the sloped floor like this

or are you wanting to do the arched tile lines as shown in your original post?

sorry got busy with my day job... LOL...

I just used one of the showers you had there already and adjusted the fill pattern. Stuff like that happens all the time. Patterns don't place exactly where you want them. But it is easy enough to fix.

ARRGH! Why didn't I go there? I had to make a mountain out of a molehill.

Maybe I'm not a nincompoop after all. You can't rotate and align the deformed model hatch pattern on the shaped-edited floor.

i was still able to do it to this one.... set the 4 internal points around the drain to 27 (from 44). then rotated and aligned the pattern lines. when i first started to adjust the internal points, they got all wonky, but straightened out after the 4 points were the same. either way... looks like we got 2 ways to do it :-).

nothing special... just selected the surface and modify Sub Elements. I've honestly never seen a pattern go so wonky like that before.

i think it has to do with the shape at the drain. when I straightened it out and make it more rectangular, vs parallelogram, the lines didn't distort when i doped the center points.

I think we ought to share that solution credit. I think you brought more to the table than I did. Just calling it like it is.

Hi @hmunsell yeah that one I could fix with the align tool just as you demonstrate. I was trying to fix the ones that have the pattern warped(with curves), the simplest solution is to avoid complex (non square) geometry as my friend @barthbradley suggested just to place one point instead of the quadrilateral non square plane geometry I was trying to attempt.
