Nope...that option only gives you the possibility to create single lines consisting of

dashes

spaces

dots

no double lines. For that I think you have to use other means such as Dynamo or REVIT API where you place a line and the macro doubles it for you. I am no expert in Dynamo and API but they have a dedicated forum for those

Aside from the combination of dashes, spaces, and dots, you can use a repeating detail component for a special line type. You basically create a detail family and draw any graphic you want, load it into the project and define a repeating detail component type using a type of said detail family as one unit and a distance for array pattern. It only works in linear so if you have curves you need to draw it in segments.

thank you for the answer. I know how to use repeat detail components to make special lines for fence or retaining wall on site plan.

but I may try dynamo or revit api to make double line.

Thanks

Are they have to be line objects? Can you use walls or railing?

Good luck with Dynamo btw! It is definitely worth learning.

@gideon

dynamo is good but if it is just to toss a few lines its not worth it and its definitely unhealthy for the model when one starts with one script here and one macro there just to carry out small tasks (but again that's a personal opinion)

considering it is linework it shouldn't be lots (of that special one specific line pattern).... I would start up a "line based" family > place the single version of that special line > offset it > add a parameter for gap between lines (you can offset them 2-3-4 times and add visibility parameter for each...)

lock the lines to the start and end of the ref line...save > load into project and use chain to place it just as you would place a line and you are still line based 🙂
