O no, accept the solution in the wrong post. The grey colour is the generic default material of the wall.

You can edit the material, open the Graphics tab, and change the Shading to a lighter color.

How to fade the background of objects that are not cutted in the section?

The blue materialized objects has to be faded also.

Is it possible to fade out the un-cutted elements in the section?

I also want to fade out the cyan colour (it is glass at the background).

Are you 2017? Play around with the Depth Cueing settings.

You can adjust the color of the Glass the same way as I show in the post above. But for Elevation/Section views, you cannot make the glass transparent without the entire window including frame, mullion, etc... being transparent. Transparency only works in 3D views.

Okay, I tried the depth cueing. I probably using it wrong.

And when I use Visibility/Graphic Display to change the material does not work very well for me.

The material colour of the whole model changes and when I change the section view, nothing happens. How I can solve this?

I want to let the section pop-out very clearly.

The Depth Cueing settings are simple like this: the entire view depth of your section is 100 steps, 0 being @ cutline, 100 @ farthest point. Slide the Fade limit and see. Below are 1-no effect, 2-fading starts @ 50th step, 3-fading starts @ 10th step. Also, consider lineweigth for cut elements. Those give great visual effects.

Estimate the distance from the section cut you want the building starting to fade. If it a just few meters then start with 1% and gradually go from there until you are satisfied.
