Is there a way to permanently turn off the active option check mark in 2024? C'mon autodesk....

Yes, by setting up and working within Dedicated Views.

Why? Understanding that, may help me to help you. My thinking is that your workflow may need tweaking. Is this related to copying and pasting between DO's and Worksets?

Naw. My workflow is perfectly fine. I have options and I have area schemes. It's annoying to move between main and options. People have been asking for a tweak on this button since 2010.

And frankly, once your views are set up - the assumption that we just want to select only the option, especially during feasibility, is generally wrong.

It's absolute nonsense that this button isn't something we have to activate, but rather something that we have to continuously deactivate. It's bizarro UI.

So, you are just aggravated that Active View checked is the default editing state?
