Is this a good way to make a roof tile?

Hello,

I want to know if the following way is a good solution in making roof tiles, I made a wall, and edited the profile in making it round, and gave it a length using the material properties. Are there better ways in achieving the following: ?

Hi, I would avoid that approach for a couple of reasons:

1. It is not good practice using a an element of one category to make an element that should belong to another

2. Editing the sketch of walls should be preserved for situations that you cannot get around in any other way.

I think your best option is to create 2 tile families and array them

If you make this in a Generic Model family I would advise you create a subcategory of "RoofTiles" for example so you are able to control Visibility and Graphics from your project environment.
