Creating a split section line with one straight and one angled segment?

I did see an old thread that said this is not possible and when you split a section line you cannot angle one segment and that you should create two sections and merge them together. Have things changed? We are working on a building that starts straight and then angles.

as far as I know, this is still the case. Why do you ask? Do you have that functionality?

EDIT: When I read your question, Friday afternoon, tired, I thought this was another question about curved sections. And for that question I wrote this answer, below. Now I see that you were asking for a section that "angles" but not curved, just two segments in different directions. So, my reply, below, does not apply 100% to your question, sorry about that. However, it does apply a little bit. So I am keeping this info, below. 🙂 Have a nice weekend.

___________________________________________________________________________________________

For buildings with curved elements in plan, use the plan view to show the geometry of the curves, and then provide a regular section to indicate the heights. If necessary, you can use 3d sections, exploded views, section/elevation, cutaway section, etc... There are different types of section views, but an orthographic section with a section line that curves is a contradiction.

Fortunately, architecture has managed to survive for thousands of years without curved sections. 🙂
