Hi there,

I can't find the Brick Veneer - 250 timber/Basic Wall 270?
Which system family do they belong to?
Is there a list of the different walls etc. and what families they belong to?

I am a newbie to Revit and currently taking a design course. I'm not sure if I'm approaching this the right way.

The first half of my tutorials were using the US metric walls. Now for my assignment I need to use Brick Veneer - 250 timber/Basic Wall 270..
I've had great difficultly with content libraries and system families. Had to uninstall Revit 3 times to get it to install and load the generic US metric walls, now they are default.
I've tried changing the default system family in the Content Library (control panel>programs and features) from US metric to Australia/UK to see if the walls in those families are different, however it still loads the US metric walls, even though it says 'Australia' is default. I've tried repairing, reinstalling content libraries.
Is there any easier way to change between default system families or load them, instead of uninstalling Revit completely each time I need to use a different type of wall. There must be.

I am so incredibly lost, please help!

Thanks,
Claire

I had the same issue. When you are starting your new project and are picking the Template File click "Browse...".

If you have already installed the Aussie pack, you should see a folder called "Australia". Inside that select "defaultAUSENU.rte".

Hope this helps!
