Doors not cutting walls in plan view

I've got a mystery. Working on a school building with 2 stories. Everything on the first floor is working great. But the second floor has some issues.

1) The second floor doors are not "cutting" the walls in plan view, but they appear to be inserting correctly when you look at them in elevation or section view.

2) The room tags won't display. The error message says: "None of the created elements are visible in Floor Plan: SECOND FLOOR View. You may want to check the active view, its Parameters, and Visibility settings, as well as any Plan Regions and their settings."

Both the first and second floor plans have the same view template, same cutting planes, same everything as far as I can determine. Obviously I'm missing something.

Can anybody throw me a clue?

What about Phasing, Design Options, manually hidden in View?

can you upload a screenshots of the following? It would be a great help for us to determine the possible problem.

1. View Template

2. View Range

3. Design option

4. Properties of level 1 & 2

5. elevation/section (at least one)

Also, in an elevation or section, click on the 2nd floor level line, and check the computation height. See attached JPG.

Do all users / machines see what you do? Some things that it never hurts to re-check-

1) Same door family? No unknown changes? Hit Edit Family, load it into a vanilla project. Does it behave the same on more than one level?

2) Go over the View Template with several fine tooth combs. Make sure that room tags are turned on, and that you don't have a rogue filter going crazy on you there. Turn off / delete filters one by one to see the effects on the project

Besides this - I haven't had enough caffeine to come up with more than that!

If you can share the file to take a look at, that would be great.

Just circling back on this post. Thanks for sending me the file offline. We looked at this more closely and did discover it was the view range -- the cut plane offset was at 9' (which was above the door). It was hard to spot at first because we thought the view range was being controlled by the view template. But then noticed view range was unchecked in that view template. Anyway, adjusting the cut plane offset so it cut through the door fixed this one.

I had the same problem however I had placed two walls over one another. You wont be able to notice this unless you either delete a wall or observe the distorted appearance of the wall in 3D View.
