Try purging the file, maybe you have a buggy family in Revit 2018 that it doesn't like. Can't think of anything else sorry.

I have a project that was initially built in Revit 2014 on a different computer. I recently downloaded Revit LT 2018 to my personal computer and I updated the project to 2018. When I open this project (or even a template project from the start screen) on my personal computer/2018, I cannot change the Top Constraints and Base Constraints of the walls. The drop down does not work, see image. If I open the project back up on the other computer I can edit the Top Constraints and Base Constraints of the wall. I also cannot select the level at which to start and stop a stair. I feel like there is a bug in the Revit LT 2018 that I downloaded (I have the 30 day free trial downloaded from autodesk).

when updating model to newer versions it is always a good approach to do this sequentially.

skipping version will ultimately cause issues.

it also allows you to confirm the upgrades are stable and ready for the next version.
